A hunter lived in a cabin in the Alps. The hunter raised an eagle to help him hunt; he also kept a parrot and taught it to speak. In his spare time, the hunter also liked to tease the parrot to pass the time.
One spring day, there was a market in the town at the foot of the mountain. The hunter prepared his cured game meat, planning to exchange it for some necessities.
The hunter happily took the eagle and parrot to the market.
However, due to his haste, the hunter slipped and fell on the way.
The fall was not a big deal, but the eagle, which was perched on his shoulder, was startled and quickly took flight. Its sharp claws accidentally scratched the hunter's face.
The hunter rarely came down the mountain and only saw his friends a few times a year. He was furious that he had been disfigured before meeting his friends.
